Base FM began broadcasting in May 2004 on low power FM frequency, the aim was to bring underground music to Auckland’s inner city fringe suburbs.

Base FM is still 100% DJ’s choice and strongly believes in it’s No Playlist and No Commercial Bullshit policy.
